Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

Revdict (revdict.com) collects as little personal data as it can get away with. This page lists everything we collect, why, and how to have it removed.

Data you give us

Email address (optional). If you leave an email while an analysis is running, we use it once: to send you that analysis's result. It is stored with the analysis, is never shown publicly or through the API, is not used for marketing, and is not added to any mailing list. Delivery is handled by our email provider (Mailtrap), which processes the address solely to deliver that message.

URLs you submit. The Google Maps link you paste is stored with the analysis so the report can be generated and cached.

Data collected automatically

  • Server and CDN logs. Standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) are kept for security and debugging. Our site is served through Cloudflare, which processes the same data as a CDN and firewall.
  • Cookies. We set only a session cookie required for the site to function. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • Analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the site is used. Page views are collected in your browser, which stores a random identifier in localStorage (not a cookie) to count returning visitors; events such as submitting an analysis or sending the contact form are recorded server-side together with your IP address, and with your email address if you provided one via the contact or notification forms. This data is used only to improve the product and is never sold or used for advertising.

Review and reviewer data in reports

Reports display publicly available Google Maps content — reviews, ratings, reviewer display names and public profile details — obtained through licensed data providers. We process this public data on the basis of legitimate interest: helping consumers assess the reliability of review scores. If you are a reviewer and want your public data removed from a report, contact us and we will remove it.

What we never do

  • Sell or share personal data with advertisers.
  • Send marketing email.
  • Track you across other sites.

Retention

Notification emails are kept with their analysis record. Analyses and reports are kept to serve the public catalog. Server logs rotate on a short schedule. You can ask us to delete your email or any analysis you requested at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond to every request; there is no fee.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published at this URL with an updated date above.
